Creating a Newspaper
Creating a Newspaper
You will create a Civil War newspaper. Even though you will only be creating the first two pages, you will be responsible for writing entire news articles on your chosen topics.
First, you need to decide the date of your newspaper. You will want to base it around an important battle since that is the main story headline.
We will be using the text book, nonfiction books pulled from the library, the encyclopedia (Room#2501), and various websites for research. You are required to get information from at least three sources. You must use at least ONE book resource; the others may be internet or encyclopedia.
You will use a Google Drive Newspaper Template. See attached and make a copy; then rename it.
The battle and biography must be a minimum of 3 paragraph. Articles need to have an introduction, body, and conclusion with quality details from your research and correct grammar and punctuation.
The newspaper must include the following:
You will present the final newspaper in front of a group of your peers. You will read your favorite article and describe the picture.
